Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru have 2 terminal .T1 is domestic terminal used by Indigo , Spicejet , Alliance Air and Akasha Air for domestic flights. T2 is used for all international flight operations and domestic flights of Air India , Air India Express , Vistara and Star Air .
If some one had arrived at T1 and next flight is from T2 or vice versa can use complementary shuttle service between terminal. Shuttle bus available 24X7 at regular interval and its less than 10 min bus ride either side.
Its very much a straight forward process, you reach bus boarding point and board the bus, till my last experience no checking or verifying of ticket.
The bus is comfortable and have decent space for baggage at front and back in side .
T1 to T2 transfer
When some one arrived T1 on a domestic flight and have next domestic or international flight from T2 need to transfer terminal using bus. Depending upon type of connection they needs to take their check in baggage too.
After collecting baggage exit the terminal, after exiting terminal take right turn and walk towards departure.Bus boarding point is near Relay in front of Departure ,easy to find .Bus operates in regular interval ,as per my experience every 15 min,bus ride is just 5-7 minute.
The bus drops at arrivals at T2 ,after that just an escalator/elevator to departure.
T2 to T1 transfer
If some one arrives T2 ,whether by domestic or international flight and needs to transfer to T1 the process is same. Domestic and international passengers merge just before exit of T2 and exit from common gate. Then need to take right turn and walk for hardly 100 m and can find the bus boarding point. Bus would be waiting there. Just need to board the bus ,the bus ride is 5-7 min and will drop you at arrivals at T1.
